Boondall and Goondiwindi dedicated freight and logistic testing sites now closed

Read time: 1 min

Due to flooding and road closures, the dedicated heavy vehicle COVID-19 testing sites located at Boondall and Goondiwindi have permanently ceased operations, effective immediately.

In addition, please be reminded that the remaining heavy vehicle COVID-19 testing sites located at Charlton and Port of Brisbane will also cease operations on 7 March 2022.

Pathology Queensland has also issued the following reminder regarding PCR testing at private providers:

The temporary arrangement with private pathology provider partners to accept people presenting without a GP referral for payment by Queensland Health will cease at midnight on 7 March 2022.

All Queensland Health Operated Clinics provide free PCR testing for anyone:

  • with symptoms
  • who is a close contact of a positive case
  • following a quarantine or isolation direction.

Testing is not free for International travel, please contact your local Private Pathology Provider.

Private Pathology operated clinics only provide free Medicare funded PCR testing for anyone with a Medicare card and a GP referral. If you do not have a GP referral or Medicare card, you will need to present to a Queensland Health operated clinic.

We know a lot has been asked of the freight and logistics industry to date and we’re grateful to you for your continued efforts to keep the supply chains moving, support the safe movement of freight and ensure Queenslanders and our communities stay connected to essential goods and services
