Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions and temporary closures from next week on Bylong Valley Way at Sandy Hollow to continue carrying out essential maintenance work on Sandy Hollow Bridge.
Transport for NSW will carry out the work from Monday 3 May, which includes structural repairs and installing temporary supports.
To reduce impact to motorists, work requiring temporary overnight bridge closures to heavy vehicles will be carried out from Monday 3 May between 6pm and 3.30am and is expected to be completed over four-night shifts, weather permitting.
Work originally scheduled to be carried out during the day from Monday 3 May will now be carried out from Monday 10 May between 6.30am and 4.30pm and is expected to be complete by Friday 14 May, weather permitting.
During this work, the bridge will remain open with occasional single-lane closures and a temporary 40km/h speed limit in place. Occasional bridge closures of up to 15 minutes may also take place throughout the last week of work and may affect travel times.
Heavy vehicles weighing more than 4.5 tonnes or higher than 4.2 metres may experience short delays of up to 15 minutes.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
