The road transport industry has not been given the same relief from rising fuel prices as the general public through a reduction in fuel excise. Treasury has said that we are getting 4.3 cents a litre more after 29 March 2022. But because of timing issues and the elimination of the fuel tax credit, there is an adverse impact on members’ cash flow and many members will be worse off. Hear from indirect tax expert Chris Sant who will outline the changes made and the financial impact on members.

Chris previously worked in the “Big 4” where he was involved in the 2012 (refrigeration) and 2016 (toll roads) Linfox Fuel Tax Credit cases. Chris is also an active member of the ATO’s Fuel Schemes Advisory Forum.
