Fair Work Commission makes harassment reporting easier

The Fair Work Commission is making it easier for employers and employees alike to report sexual harassment at work.

The so-called F75 form is an application to have the FWC deal with a complaint in connection with an alleged occurrence in the workplace on or after 6 March 2023.

A complaint needs to be lodged within 24 months of the alleged incident.

There have been substantial changes to the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 that put the positive duty on all employers and persons conducting a business or undertaking to take “reasonable and proportionate measures” to eliminate unlawful sex discrimination, including sexual harassment, as far as possible. They took effect on 13 December 2022.
