Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions at a rail bridge on the Newell Highway at Narrandera from next week for maintenance to be carried out.
The routine work on the Newell Highway bridge, north of Willans Street, involves footpath repairs and general bridge maintenance.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm on weekdays from Monday 11 January to the end of January, 2021, weather permitting.
Single lane closures, traffic control and a speed reduction will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
The bridge will remain accessible to pedestrians, who will be guided across the bridge via a safe pathway.
Traffic lanes will have a width restriction of five metres. Over size, over mass vehicles will be asked to contact the maintenance team via UHF as they approach the location to ensure a safe and smooth journey through the work site.
Loads wider than five metres should make contact three days before travel with Works Supervisor Daniel Snell on 0428 115 984.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
