36km of new lanes between Warrigal Road and Cardinia Road are being added to the Monash Freeway as part of Stage 2 of the Monash Freeway Upgrade.
While restrictions remain in place, additional works will take place to take advantage of lower traffic volumes.
Monash Freeway disruptions:
Day time lane closures on sections of the Monash Freeway from Friday 4 to Friday 11 June between
• Warrigal Road and EastLink
• Clyde Road and Cardinia Road
Expect up to 30-minute delays through Officer and Berwick. Consider using Princes Highway.
Day time outbound double lane closure between Jacksons Road and EastLink on Sunday 6 June
Expect up to 15-minutes delay. Consider using Wellington Road and Stud Road.
Overnight carriageway closure outbound between Warrigal Road and Huntingdale Road Tuesday 8 June until Thursday 10 June, 8pm -5am
During this time all heavy vehicles need to exit the Monash Freeway at Wellington Road and detour via Princess Highway.
Over-wide and over-mass vehicles will be escorted through if required.
The Monash Freeway outbound exit to EastLink will be closed overnight on Sunday 6 and Monday 7 June, 8pm to 5am.
There will also be numerous day and night freeway ramp closures and lane closures on Ferntree Gully Road in Glen Waverley and on Jacksons and Police roads in Mulgrave.
Detours will be in place. Please follow on road signage.
