SA Truck Stops and Roadhouses exempt from Lockdown Direction

NatRoad has received calls from concerned members regarding the closure of truck stops and roadhouses as a result of the South Australian Government Lockdown Direction issued yesterday.

Truck Stops and Roadhouses ARE Essential Services and are listed and allowed to operate under the current South Australian Lockdown Direction, which states:

‘essential worker means a person who performs work that is essential for the continued operation of any of the following:

  • truckstops and roadhouses, including the provision of food for seated consumption at, or take away from, a truckstop or roadhouse by a truck driver;’
