The presentation will cover broadly what each team does, the key areas of the Act they regulate and clarity around what we don’t regulate, and what we are finding, our compliance and enforcement approach such as types of non-compliance.
Speakers:
David Leadbetter: David has worked in investigations and compliance for over 20 years, across various agencies both at State and Federal level. He has also worked as a private investigator. David joined the Wage Inspectorate in 2019, tasked with development and implementation of the regulatory framework for ODFC. He currently leads a team of three Authorised Officers responsible for regulation of the ODFC Act.
Jessica Downey: Jessica has worked in investigations for 13 years, most recently for the Victorian Ombudsman. She has led investigations into the Business Support Fund, Kinship Care and Disability Abuse Reporting. Jessica is a lawyer and leads the wage theft investigation team which includes two team leaders and seven inspectors.
