Paul Fellows

Chair

Paul Fellows boasts more than 40 years’ experience in the transport industry and has a passion for improving safety, professionalism and financial stability. He and his wife, Jenny, own and operate Fellows Bulk Transport, a small bulk transport and grain storage business based in Deniliquin, NSW. Paul is currently Chairman of the Trucksafe scheme, which aims to promote safety, compliance, and professionalism within the transport industry. He is also the Deputy Mayor of Edward River Council in the Riverina region of NSW. Paul is joined as a NatRoad Director in 2020 and has been Chair since 2022.

Troy Cook

Vice Chair

Troy Cook has over 20 years’ experience in the transport industry and has a special interest in improving efficiency, reliability and safety.
He is currently Transport Manager at Divall’s Earthmoving and Bulk Haulage in Goulburn, NSW, where he is reasonable for managing the fleet and the workshop/trade functions. Troy has a vast knowledge of compliance and maintenance legislation. He works closely with drivers and workshop managers to enable the smooth scheduling of the fleet. He was appointed as a NatRoad Director in September 2019.

Leslie 'Leckie' Milne

Treasurer

Leslie ‘Leckie’ Milne has been involved in the transport industry since the age of 16 and has extensive experience in running successful business. For many years, he operated heavy-duty haulage vehicles locally and interstate through two companies based in Shepparton, Victoria. Leckie is a committee member of the Goulburn Valley Road Transport Group which aims to promote and communicate best practice among transport operators in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley. He has been a Member of NatRoad since 1988 and was appointed Treasurer of the organisation in 2019.

Darren Nolan

Darren Nolan has close to 30 years’ experience working in the refrigerated transport industry and is passionate about improving safety through compliance. He is a Director of his family’s transport business, Nolan’s Interstate Transport, which is based in Gatton in Southern Queensland and proudly operating for over 110 years. He had the pleasure of starting his career working alongside trucking safety advocate Craig Roseneder. Darren’s key focus areas are compliance and IT technology, and he has served on the Board of Trucksafe. He has been a Director of NatRoad since 2022.

Kellie Boland

Kellie has more than 30 years’ experience within the transport industry and has proven herself in an extremely diverse range of roles. She is a Director of MG & KJ Boland Transport Services, a family-owned business who specialise in steel cartage, located in North East of Victoria. Over the course of her career, Kellie has worked in allocation, fleet maintenance, compliance, driving and auditing. Kellie has driven for many years, with millions of km’s in a two up team with her husband. She is passionate about improving the working conditions for truck drivers across Australia. Kellie has been a NatRoad Director since August 2016.

Lyndon Watson

Lyndon Watson has enjoyed an extraordinarily wide-ranging career in the transport industry. With roles starting with trainee mechanic and forklift driver, moving to truck driving in local rigids up to linehaul roadtrains. Lyndon is currently CEO of Don Watson Pty Ltd, a Victoria-based interstate refrigerated transport and cold storage business. Lyndon has served on a range of industry committees and national transport associations. He has been a Director of NatRoad since 2022.

Melissa Strong

Melissa Strong has more than two decades’ experience in the transport sector and has been particularly active in the areas of safety and human resources. She has worked at leading transport business Lindsay Australia since 2008 and is currently its Manager of Safety, People and Culture. In this role, Melissa has helped develop a culture of betterment and individual progress and she has led campaigns around recruitment, driver safety, the aging workforce, and more. Based in Brisbane, Melissa has strong ties to farm and country. She became a NatRoad Director in 2019.

Michael Kennedy

Michael Kennedy boasts over 45 years’ experience in the transport industry and is a tireless advocate for improved conditions. He is the founder and Managing Director of Kennedy Express, an express overnight freight subcontractor based in Sydney. Michael has never forgotten where he started and actively campaigns for the wider transport industry, and especially the smaller operator. He does not shy away from promoting operator’s and driver’s rights. Michael has been a NatRoad Member since 1996 and a NatRoad Director since 2005.

Stephen Marley

Stephen Marley has more than 30 years’ experience in the transport industry and is active in a wide range of community organisations. He is the General Manager of Marleys Transport, a family trucking business based in Perth. The operation has 70 trucks carting livestock, grain and manufactured feed. Stephen’s experience includes serving as President of the Livestock & Rural Transport Assocation of Western Australia and the Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters’ Association; serving as the Chair of Trucksafe; and serving as a Shire Councillor in Merredin Shire in WA. Stephen was appointed as a NatRoad Director in 2022.

Tom Richers

Tom Richers has worked his entire career in the transport industry and has a wealth of management experience. Tom is Transport Operations Manager at Richers Transport, a family-owned transport and logistics business based at Maryborough in Queensland. The operation runs along the eastern seaboard of Australia. Tom, started his career at 16 as an apprentice diesel mechanic, and he is the third generation of his family to be involved in the business. He was appointed as a NatRoad Director in 2019.

Melissa Barry

Melissa owns and operates Border Crane Consultants alongside her husband Jason which was established in 2011. Based in Albury/Wodonga on the border of VIC and NSW, Melissa is passionate about family business operations, diversity, transport and logistics and engineering. With a wide-ranging background in business management, marketing, human resources, finance, compliance and safety, quality assurance and administration, Melissa has worked in various roles within transport, manufacturing, local government, defence and the construction sectors. Melissa has been a member of NatRoad since 2020, holds a Bachelors degree in Business and is a patron member of Transport Women Australia.
