NatRoad members are advised that the Australian Government’s JobKeeper Scheme has been extended by a further six months to March 2021, but with changes. Businesses will only need to show that their GST turnover had fallen in the quarter ending in September to qualify for the scheme’s extension. This is a reversal on the government’s advice from 21 July 2020 stating that businesses had to show their GST turnover had fallen in the two quarters to the end of September compared to the same period last year. There is, however, a reduction in benefits with a lower payment rate for those who work fewer hours.
