If you’re a user of the M5 East and M8 toll roads in Sydney, good news is at hand. Provided you have a valid toll account and operate a Class B vehicle one-third of the cost of your toll will be automatically rebated to you.

The New South Wales Government is honouring an election commitment by delivering toll relief on these roads from 1 January 2024.

The Truck Multiplier Scheme aims to reduce traffic on local roads by encouraging trucks to use toll roads while reducing heavy vehicle costs.

The scheme is a two-year trial and will come at a cost to government of $53.8 million.

NSW and interstate registered trucks will qualify provided they have a valid E-Toll, Linkt, or Eastlink account.
